BBQ Butterfly Prawns
Juicy butterfly prawns cooked on the BBQ with garlic, smoked paprika, and a hint of lemon. Perfect as a light meal or starter with crusty bread and salad.
Ingredients
- 20 x butterfly whole prawns
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- Sea salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Method
- Prepare the BBQ for cooking: heat, clean, and oil the grates.
- Mix together olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the prawns in a shallow dish and brush with the garlic oil mixture.
- Place on the BBQ, shell side up.
- Prawns cook quickly: 30–60 seconds per side until just cooked.
- Brush quickly with extra garlic oil before serving.
- Serve with crusty bread and a light salad.
