BBQ Butterfly Prawns
Juicy butterfly prawns cooked on the BBQ with garlic, smoked paprika, and a hint of lemon. Perfect as a light meal or starter with crusty bread and salad.

Ingredients

  • 20 x butterfly whole prawns
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Prepare the BBQ for cooking: heat, clean, and oil the grates.
  2. Mix together olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the prawns in a shallow dish and brush with the garlic oil mixture.
  4. Place on the BBQ, shell side up.
  5. Prawns cook quickly: 30–60 seconds per side until just cooked.
  6. Brush quickly with extra garlic oil before serving.
  7. Serve with crusty bread and a light salad.
